Graduation Reservation Policy
The desire of the Valley Community Center is to serve as many families of local graduates as possible during what is historically a high demand season. To accomplish this, the following special guidelines and reservation procedures will be followed for all graduation party reservation requests from the first Saturday in May through the 2nd Saturday in June.
The following blocks of time will be “Graduation Reception” times:
Saturday Afternoons: 1 pm - 5 pm
Saturday Evenings: 6 pm - 10 pm
Sunday Afternoons: 1 pm - 5 pm
Sunday Evenings: 6 pm - 10 pm
Blocks of time will be allocated on a “first come, first served” basis, no more than 6 months in advance. At this point, the date and slot is reserved but not confirmed. Only one block of time per family can be reserved during this peak season.
Once the reserved date is 3 months or less away, the VCC will confirm the reservation and send out a Reservation Agreement (RA) for signatures and payment.
The signed RA must be received back with payment in full by the VCC within 10 business days; failure to do this opens up this time to other requests.
Once the signed agreement and payment are received, the reservation is considered confirmed.
Each block of time is a flat rate of $400.
This includes use of the entire atrium (including open to the conference room) and the Hideaway Room.
Laptops or media devices may be connected to the large TV in the Hideaway for slideshows honoring the graduate. An HDMI connection is provided from the TV. Please bring any adapters needed to make the connection from your device.
NOTE: Due to our food service license, the kitchen area cannot be used by outside (unlicensed) groups.
Use of the Children’s Play Area or any part of the Gym are an additional charge.
To honor preceding or subsequent groups, all set-up and clean-up must be done within the designated time block. Please refrain from arriving early or staying late.
To expedite clean-up, small glitter or confetti as well as helium balloons are not allowed. Any wall decorations, posters, etc must be made with painter’s tape or 3M Command Strips.
For all activities, the Valley Community Center is an alcohol and tobacco free area.
